Steel Fibres

Otavi is the agent in Germany of Fibretech, a high quality producer of stainless steel fibres. Steel fibres reinforce refractory products such as catsbles and bricks.

ME310 austenitic stainless steel fibres reinforce monolithic refractories against thermal and mechanical shock, to prevent cracking and spalling.

ME/MO 430 ferritic stainless steel fibres reinforce monolithic refractories against thermal and mechanical shock by reducing cracking and spalling susceptibility.

As well as the standard range of ME 304/310/430 and 446, special alloys can be produced and length/ diameter can be engineered to suit specific requirements.
